UNRGLTD (Unregulated) is a foot race event copying the “alleycat” race format in cycling joined mostly by bicycle messengers in the US. This event is an UNSANCTIONED race where participants should complete all designated check points. If you want a no frill and a pure premium rush race before the holiday break, this is for you!
Unregulated – coming from the event name itself, participants are allowed to run through the streets without any regards to traffic rules may it be beating a red light or jaywalking, etc. This is the sole reason why an alleycat race is unique in a peculiar way. However, please take note that this is an unsanctioned event and the organizer/s will not be held liable/responsible for any accidents to happen. Thus, waivers will be given before the start of the race. It is recommended to always follow the traffic rules for your safety, but then again, YOU MAY DO WHAT PLEASES YOU!

Schedule of Activities
December 16, 2023 (Saturday)
Starting line: Maybank Performing Arts Theater, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Assembly time: 6:00 AM
Final Briefing / Distribution of Manifest: 6:15 AM
Gunstart: 6:30 AM
Finish Line: 1C coffee, Kapitolyo
Cut Off: 10:00 AM
Strictly NO SIGNED WAIVER, NO RUN.
—-
Race format:
An alleycat race works somehow like an amazing race or your typical easter egg hunt, without an egg to hunt of course. Participants will be given a “manifest” where the checkpoints are listed where they must head to and should complete it. Any missing check point will be considered DNF (did not finish). First three runners to come back completing all checkpoints will be awarded the podium. Last runner will be awarded as DFL (Dead fucking last!).
—-
Important details:
1. DISTANCE
There is no exact distance but a whole route (if tracked in order) may reach at least 21km. The distance varies on how you will manage your route. It will depend with the individual’s strategy to know the shortest route from one CP to another. Fret not, this will only be held within BGC and a few CPs that might be near the finish line.
2. CHECK POINTS
Participants will only know where the CPs are during the race day only.
3. MANIFEST
A manifest is where the checkpoints are listed. Take note that CPs are listed IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, thus, partipants may use any navigation app through their phone should they not be familiar of the CP location. Runners are only allowed to open the manifest after the gunstart. The manifest needs be carried by runner at all times. Losing your manifest will be subject for DQ. Manifest must not be shared with co runners.
4. REFRESHMENTS
Unlike your typical road races, there are NO water or food stations here – we thirst and we endure! However, we will provide water at the start and finish line so please ensure you have a refillable flask/bottle. Runners are allowed to buy their refreshments if needed from any convenience stores while the race is on going.
—-
Mandatory gears:
– Phone with camera, maps and cellular data for navigation.
– Strava (through GPS watch or phone)
– Hydration
– Valid ID and Cash
– Calorie Fuel (bars, trailmix, etc.)
*To avoid cheating, we will require everyone to record their activity through a GPS watch or phone and upload it in Strava. Organizers shall manually check the splits to prove that a participant has not riden any motorized vehicles.
*Phone with camera is mandatory as participants are required to do tasks at CPs to prove that they have reached and not missed anything.
