The Sierra Madre Trail Ultra turned out to be a great newcomer in our Asia Trail Master Championship series, with start/finish in Sitio Wawa, the heart of Manila’s trail community. All weekend, a pleasant party atmosphere was never away, and foreign participants had a great time mixing with all the enthusiastic local runners and people.

After their debut iteration the previous year, the SMTU 75 was held a second time. Given how well-organized it was, it was a highly recommended event. It has a capable organizing team. They’re all incredibly helpful and friendly. I appreciate the kind welcome they extended to me while I was there.

Thanks again for inviting me to your race. I think it was a great success with lots of exposure. Hopefully it will be a top race on the PH race calendar for years to come!

I had a blast. It was hot, it was painful, but 2 couples of days in such kind of environment was exactly what I was looking for.
Hats off to you and your team. It’s must not be easy to put all this together.

By far SA LAHAT ng local races na nasalihan ko since 2017, ‘yung race nyo na pinaka bongga – grandest, and most festive. Naramdaman ko ‘yung buhay na trail community, at smooth organization.
Laban ‘to sa international race standards. Keep it up!

All in, this was a very well organized run where RD Emman went above and beyond within a very tight budget.
The marshals at ASs were extremely friendly and helpful!
Everyone around Wawa were very friendly and I was extremely happy to make new friends and catch up with old ones!

Yes, it was a good experience.

It was a tough race because it was hotter than in Japan, but I enjoyed it.
