Puerto Galera International Marathon 2026

Maharlika Trail Series, in partnership with the Local Government Unit, presents the inaugural Puerto Galera International Marathon on December 6, 2026 in celebration of the Municipality’s 99th founding anniversary.

D’ Power Fuel (km 6), first u-turn point
Villaflor Elementary School (km 25), second u-turn point

II. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

– Must be 12 years old and above;
– A written consent letter from the parents or legal guardian shall be presented upon claiming of race bib for ages 12-17 years old;
– Has an official race, road or trail with a minimum distance of 21 kilometers for the 42 KM category. No qualifying races needed for the other categories.

Registration is now open until October 31, 2026. Strictly no extension and reservation.

IV. MANDATORY GEARS WITH CORRESPONDING PENALTY IN CASE OF MISSING ITEMS
These items will be checked during race kit claiming. Top 3 male and female are oblige to present those after crossing the finish line.

Overall top 3 male and female will be awarded.

b. Free race entry in any Maharlika Trail Series’ events for the overall 42k male and female champion.

c. All podium finishers shall receive tokens from event partners and sponsors

 

VI. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
Runner’s Manual will be provided one month before the race day

a. Pre-race activities – December 5, 2026 (Saturday)

9:00 AM onwards – Race Pack Collection at Muelle Cultural Heritage Park

11:00 PM – Marshal and volunteers assembly

b. Race Day – December 6, 2026 (Sunday)

01:00 AM – Check-in and short briefing

02:00 AM – Gun start of 42 KM

04:00 AM – Gun start of 21 KM

06:00 AM – Gun start of 10 KM

08:00 AM – Cut-off time of 21 KM and 10 KM

09:00 AM – Cut-off time of 42 KM and Awarding Ceremony

 

VII. HOW TO GET TO THE EVENT VENUE

a. Public transportation
1. Take any bus (DLTB, Jam Transit, Alps, etc.) going to Batangas Port.

3. Then hire a tricycle going to Muelle Cultural Heritage Park

*Maximum travel time is 5 hours depending on traffic situation. Other options may depend on your place of origin.

XI. GENERAL EVENT GUIDELINES

– Registration fee is NON REFUNDABLE but transferable to a different person. Such transfer needs to be done at least 2 weeks before the event date. No transfer will be allowed less than a week from the race day.

– Only registered runners can run the course. NO personal pacers allowed.

– Race forerunner and marshals may be deployed along the route to ensure that trail markers are still intact or properly placed. Photographers are positioned strategically to capture your unforgettable moments.

– Mandatory gears shall be checked before the release of the race kits. Runners with incomplete mandatory items will not be allowed to run. Also, your mandatories will be checked again randomly at the aid station and finish line. Incomplete mandatories may lead to disqualification.

– To avoid too much crowd, runners are advised to pass by each aid station as quickly as possible except in cases when there is really an urgent necessity to stay longer.

– Be at your best behavior and show respect to your fellow runners, race organizers, locals and the entire community.

– Be reminded that all runners are given a total of 7 hours (for 42 KM category) to complete the entire route. The cut off times will be strictly implemented.

– Late participants who will arrive within 10 minutes after the starting time will still be allowed to run but the cut off times will NOT be adjusted. Anyone who will arrive beyond 10 minutes will be tagged as DNS (Did Not Start).

– STRICTLY NO LITTERING from start to finish! Also, bring your own portable cup that you can use when drinking at the aid stations.

– While the race is in progress, runners who decide NOT TO CONTINUE due to their own reasons shall express their intent or decision in the nearest Aid station. The race marshal assigned to such station will list down the names and BIB #. The runners will therefore be given the DNF (Did Not Finish) status. They can opt to take any available transportation back to the starting/finish line at their own expense.

– Likewise, any runner who will not make it to the finish line within designated cut-off time, shall be tagged as DNF. Race entitlements shall only be given to those who will finish the race.

– ALL MUST PLAY WITH INTEGRITY. Anyone caught CHEATING, including the act of sabotaging markers for personal advantage shall be subject to disqualification.

RACE DISPUTE / PROTEST:
Anyone who wishes toto file a race protest shall submit a written account of his / her dispute to the race organizers within 24 hours from finishing the race. All proof supporting his / her claim shall be submitted / presented to the race organizers for proper evaluation. A protest fee of PHP. 500.00 (Five Hundred Pesos) shall be collected. NO DISPUTE WILL BE ENTERTAINED IN THE ABSENCE OF ANY EVIDENCE. THE DECISION OF THE RACE ORGANIZERS IS FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.
